Ingredients
- Bourbon / rye60 ml (rye is traditional)
- Angostura bitters3 dashes (Peychaud's if you can)
- Sugar cube (pantry)1
- Absinthe rinse (optional)optional
Method
- Rinse a chilled rocks glass with absinthe if you have it; discard the excess.
- Stir whiskey, sugar and bitters with ice in a separate glass.
- Strain into the rinsed glass, no ice. Express the lemon zest over the top and discard.
